Walking
If you fancy a walk then there is a vast area of moorland on your doorstep. Just wander! If you fancy something a little more directed then try A Day Out in Widecombe.
Artefact Hunt
Widecombe has literally hundreds of artefacts of one sort or another scattered over the parish. We enjoy spotting these when out on local walks. We are using artefacts to mean any man-made object that has been left or purposely placed in the environment.
Many of these artefacts are scheduled monuments, but by no means all.
We have devised an Artefact Hunt so that you can have some fun exploring the area around Widecombe and trying to find these artefacts. We give you some information but not a great deal.
Dartmoor Llama Walks
Set in the heart of the stunning Dartmoor National Park near Widecombe-in-the-Moor, come and experience the beautiful rugged landscape of this unspoilt area.
We are offering a range of guided walks, no need to worry about carrying rucksacks and waterproofs or even your lunch as our experienced trekking llamas will carry this for you.
