Widecombe is home to a number of authors, artists and photographers, as well as numerous other craftspeople of various sorts.

Some of these are mentioned here, either because they advertise on the site, or have agreed to be included.

Tracey Elliot-Reep is a local photographer and author who produces books, calendars, postcards etc with images of a typical Widecombe and Dartmoor flavour.

Robert Dymond lived in Widecombe at Blackslade in the second half of the 19th century and contributed to a large number of periodicals and wrote several books including ‘Things New and Old Concerning the Parish of Widecombe-in-the-Moor and its Neighbourhood published in 1876.
