2819MINUTES: The minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 7th Sept. 2006 were approved and signed by the Chairman as being an accurate record of the meeting.
2820MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
((a)Widecombe Fair Review:it was recorded that this yearÂs Fair was the best ever and broke previous records. It was decided to invite Mr.&Mrs.Raymond to the November meeting to review this yearÂs Fair and firm up the contract for 2007 at an increased of £100 on the current year = £2,200
(b)Affordable Housing:reply from First Step Homes. The Clerk had previously Emailed copies of the three page letter and started the discussion by summarising its contents.
Mr. Newbolt-Young reported on two public meetings and public views of those who have viewed the plans. The discussions concluded that there was little support locally and that such proposed houses for sale were neither Âaffordable nor met Âlocal needsÂ.
It was decided unanimously to object to the Planning Application 0682/06 (see below item 2821 e)
(c)DNPA: Survey of Listed Buildings  Parish Survey.

(e)0682/06 Erection of six affordable homes for local needs, at Brook Lane: Object on grounds that such proposed houses are not affordable for people locally and constitute over development in a sensitive area of AONB
