GEORGE FORD ? As with a few others of the men listed on the Widecombe Roll of Honour, it has not been possible to trace the service history of George Ford. Some unsubstantiated evidence exists to indicate George served in the 1st Battalion the Devonshire Regiment during the relief of Ladysmith in the Boer War.
